As part of this major international festival, to be held from 22-26 February, Noraktrad, together with The Flooring Group, Institut Français, Arealead and the Ponce+Robles Gallery, will sponsor the creation and assembly of a spectacular work of art on the façade of the Radisson Blu Hotel Madrid Prado, located at Calle Moratín 52. The project is called “Travesía” (Journey), and is by the artist Francoise Vanneraud.
The project for the Radisson Hotel in Madrid, intends to turn the building façade into a climbing wall with multiple railway lines, and different levels and colours. The building will be transformed to resemble a climbable mountain with a view (it cannot actually be climbed because the ‘footholds’ will be made of polystyrene and attached with Velcro), and will draw the viewer into the landscape or, to be more precise, the terrain, and its graphic and abstract representation.
We will host a private cocktail party for our clients at the hotel on Thursday 23 February, where they will have the opportunity to meet the artist and ask questions about the project. To close the festival, the ARCO party will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Madrid Prado on Friday 24 February.
